Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Nimbus Labs (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use Retone at retoneai.net (the “Service”).

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Submitted text. The text you paste or type into Retone so we can generate a rewrite.
• Usage data. Technical and operational information such as IP address, timestamps, rewrite counts, subscription status, and similar data needed to operate rate limits, security, and the Service.
• Payment data. If you subscribe to Retone Pro, the sale is made by Paddle, our authorised reseller and merchant of record, and Paddle collects your payment and billing details directly. We never see or store your card number. We receive only limited billing metadata from Paddle — for example, the email address used and the fact that a subscription is active — so we can give you Pro access. What Paddle does with your data is covered by Paddle’s own Privacy Notice.

2. How Text Is Processed

When you request a rewrite, the text you submit is sent to the Anthropic API to generate the rewritten output. We use that text to provide the Service, not to train our own models. We do not use your submitted text to train models. Processing by Anthropic is subject to Anthropic’s own terms and policies.

3. Cookies

We use cookies (and similar technologies) as needed to operate the Service, including to keep session and subscription status so we can recognize Retone Pro access and related preferences. These cookies are used for core functionality rather than advertising.

4. Data Retention

We retain information only as long as needed to provide the Service, enforce rate limits, maintain subscription status, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Submitted text is processed to generate a rewrite and is not kept as a permanent library of your documents. Usage and subscription records may be kept for a limited period for security, billing, and operational purposes.

5. Your Rights

Depending on applicable law (including Brazilian data-protection law), you may have the right to request access to personal data we hold about you, or to request deletion of that data. To exercise these rights, email viniciussucupira091@gmail.com. We may need to verify your request before fulfilling it. For data Paddle holds about your purchase, address your request to Paddle, since they are the seller and hold that record.

6. Third-Party Services

We use third-party providers to operate Retone. They process information only as needed to provide their services:

• Vercel — website hosting and related infrastructure
• Upstash Redis — rate limiting and operational data storage
• Paddle — the seller of Retone Pro and merchant of record: it takes your payment, issues your invoice, handles sales tax, and manages renewals and cancellations
• Anthropic API — generation of rewritten text

Those providers have their own privacy practices. We encourage you to review them.

7. Browser Extension (Gmail)

Retone also offers an optional browser extension for Gmail. The extension only reads the text inside a Gmail compose window when you click the “Retone” button — it does not read your inbox, other emails, or any other tab or website. The text you choose to rewrite is sent only to the same Retone API described in Section 2 above, processed the same way, and is not shared with any additional third party. The extension does not track your browsing activity and does not run on any site other than Gmail and retoneai.net.

8. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
